Description
This is something I have seen every year since I was six or so, and was always my favorite part of the tour of Berwarstein, since I thought it was the coolest part of the whole visit. I still do, in fact, and I like how it makes people who come with us to Germany squirm when I tell them what it is and how they used it.
I've been trying out different things with the program I use for my picture cropping, and decided to put this in sepia tone. I rather like the way it came out. This rack, etc is dated back to the 1200's, I believe. The earliest recorded date in Berwarstein was around 1109, if I remember correctly.
Rack and thumbscrews FTW.

Very clever of you to have it on Sepia.....it somehow authenticated history in a way that one feels it and was there in person....HIGH FIVE!
